The Osido Luminaire Family – A Holistic Concept for Architectural Illumination

Osido Wall is the first element of a comprehensive luminaire family designed for building surroundings. Sharing core design principles with the later-released bollards, spotlights, and ceiling lights, Osido Wall seamlessly integrates into any architectural lighting concept.

Developing a sustainability strategy for an outdoor luminaire extends beyond conventional environmental considerations—it must also address artificial light at night (ALAN). In designing Osido, the primary focus was on achieving precise lighting control, both spatially and temporally. Features such as face illumination adaptation, a 6° decline in the indirect optic, a diverse range of direct and direct/indirect light distributions, and smart building integrations minimize unwanted light dispersion, ensuring illumination is used only where and when needed.

With a high efficiency of ≥ 143 lm/W, a service life of 50,000 hours, and a design prioritizing repairability and durability, Osido enhances sustainability while reducing environmental impact. Additionally, an innovative installation concept allows for swift, single-person mounting using Plug & Play connectivity, streamlining the setup process for maximum efficiency.
